Braves' Marcell Ozuna arrested on suspicion of drunk driving

Marcell Ozuna, who was off to the 2021 World Series title last season with his team but missed it because of an administrative leave for domestic violence charges

He was arrested early this morning after being involved in a car accident and charged under DUI laws.

Ozuna, a 31-year old singer and songwriter from Miami was arrested for driver under the influence/alcohol as well as unsafe lane changes

He spent about four hours in jail before posting bond at 8am this morning local time which allowed him to be released back into society around midday Syndicate Time

Ozuna, a singer and rapper from Puerto Rico was arrested by an Atlanta police officer early this morning. He faces charges of DUI as well failure to maintain lane 

which led him being booked into jail around 4:30 am Friday Morning where he remains currently inmate number XXXXXXX

Following his 2021 arrest, Ozuna was placed on administrative leave during an MLB investigation and missed Atlanta's World Series championship run.

He then received a 20 game suspension under its domestic violence policy in November which allowed him to return this season with no restrictions or limitations imposed by the league office

He is currently playing for one of their top teams while also being sought after by other big names like Houston Astros & New York Yankees

The Braves released a statement Friday noting they are aware of and "disappointed" by Ozuna's arrest.
