What is Jio TV+
Jio TV+ is the platform that will provide all the Over The Top (OTT) Apps and Live Tv Channels, Other apps, all under one roof. It also confirms that Jio will provide Netflix on Jio Fiber.
Jio Tv+ features were announced by Mr. Akash Ambani at the Live AGM 2020 (Annual General Meeting) on July 15, 2020.
Jio TV+ brings all the online content available on the Jio set-top box under one app.
During the live event, Mr Akash Ambani demonstrated the Jio TV+ User Interface (UI) brings together 12 leading global OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Voot, Sonyliv, Youtube and many more.
Features of Jio TV+
The main feature of Jio TV+ is that the users will have to login into only one account to watch any content as they wish, they dot have to login into each app separately to watch their favorite movies or shows.
Jio also upgraded the voice search for the Jio TV+, now with the voice search, you won’t have to type the name of the show or movie you want to see. The voice search is much like Amazon Firestick’s Alexa
Akash also talked about Jio TV+’s unique interactive features.
One of the examples is that the users will be able to participate in a poll or vote for their favorite contestants in reality shows.
Furthermore, the realtime comparison of the votes in favor and the percentage will be displayed on the screen.
Netflix on Jio Fiber
Jio is surprising its customers with new plans. Recently Jio has offered free amazon prime membership to the customers.
And before free amazon prime, during the lockdown, Jio offered double data to the Jio fiber customers to each plan.
It is predicted that Jio may announce Netflix subscription for the Jio fiber users by the end of July.
During the AGM 2020, it was announced that the customers can have access to the leading OTT Apps through Jio TV+ through on login.
During the presentation, people were very quick to see Netflix’s logo shown on Jio TV+’s home page.
It’s still not confirmed as to on which plans the subscription will be provided. Netflix on Jio Fiber will be a gift to the customers.

The Jio Fiber Diamond Plan, offered by Reliance Jio, has three options: Basic Netflix, Standard Netflix and Premium Netflix. With its Jio Fiber Diamond Plan, Reliance Jio is offering the Basic Netflix plan, which has certain restrictions.
The Basic Netflix Plan, which is available without any activation or maintenance fees through Jio’s Fiber service, costs Rs 499 per month if purchased directly from Netflix. The video quality will be restricted to 360p and isn’t even HD. This plan won’t allow you to play HD material.
With this Plan, you can access Netflix on your laptop, mobile device, or television. However, there is a constraint with this plan: you may only watch Netflix on one device at a time. You won’t be able to use two or more devices to stream Netflix simultaneously using this plan. The phone number that will link your Jio Fiber registration to your Netflix account will be used to create the account, and you’ll be able to use it on your laptop, TV, or smartphone one at a time.
